How to remove screen lock vivo y100 when you forgot pattern
Â
If you've forgotten the pattern lock on your Vivo Y100, there are a few methods you can try to unlock it. However, please be aware that some methods may result in data loss, so it's always a good idea to back up your data regularly if possible.
Method 1: Use Google Find My Device (If You Have a Google Account Linked)
If you have a Google account linked to your Vivo Y100, you may be able to unlock your phone using Google Find My Device. This method can work if your phone is connected to the internet.
Steps:
Go to the Google Find My Device website on a computer or another device:
   Google Find My Device
Log in with the Google account associated with your Vivo Y100.
Once logged in, you'll see a list of devices associated with your account.
Select your Vivo Y100 from the list.
On the next page, click on the "Lock" option.
You’ll be asked to enter a new lock screen password. Enter a new password or PIN that will be used to unlock the phone.
After the new password is set, use it to unlock your Vivo Y100.
This method works only if:
Your phone is connected to the internet.
You have a Google account linked to the phone.
You have enabled the "Find My Device" feature.
Method 2: Hard Reset (Factory Reset)
If the Google Find My Device method doesn't work, you can perform a factory reset. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase all data on your phone, so you will lose your apps, photos, contacts, and other personal data.
Steps for Hard Reset:
Turn off your Vivo Y100 by holding the Power button.
Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously.
When the Vivo logo appears, release both buttons to enter Recovery Mode.
In Recovery Mode, use the Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select.
Choose the option "Wipe data/factory reset" and confirm it.
Select "Yes" to confirm the reset.
After the reset is complete, select "Reboot system now".
Your phone will restart, and the pattern lock should be removed. You will need to set up the phone again from scratch.
Method 3: Use Vivo's Official Unlocking Service
If you're uncomfortable performing a factory reset or if the above methods don't work, you can contact Vivo customer support for assistance. They may be able to unlock your device for you, though this will likely require you to prove ownership of the device.
Method 4: Use Third-Party Tools (Use with Caution)
There are third-party tools available, such as Dr.Fone – Screen Unlock (Android) or iMyFone LockWiper (Android), that claim to help unlock Android devices. However, these tools are not always reliable, and they often require a paid subscription. Additionally, using such tools could void your warranty, and they may not work with all Android versions.
If you decide to try a third-party tool, make sure to research the tool thoroughly, read user reviews, and ensure that it's compatible with your device.
Important Notes:
Factory Reset Protection (FRP): If your phone is running Android 5.1 or higher and you perform a factory reset, FRP (Factory Reset Protection) will be enabled. This means that after the reset, you will be asked to log in with the Google account that was previously linked to the device. Make sure you have access to your Google account.
Data Backup: A factory reset will delete all personal data from your phone. If you can access your phone via a computer or through Developer Options (USB debugging), try to back up your data before performing a reset.
